Arrests heavy metals and acid gases
As a crucial latter stage within the flue gas abatement system we can incorporate a custom designed reagent dosing (or injection) tower. This unit stores and delivers a measured content of reagent powder that typically comprises a blend of powdered activated carbon. Not only will this effectively control heavy metals and sodium bicarbonate in powder form, but it will also neutralize any acid gases present in the flue stream.
The precisely controlled dosing process is achieved via an integral high-pressure blowing fan that injects the reagents via a venturi. This ensures that the reagent powder is effectively sucked into the air stream and is conveyed along the flue system. The reagent we recommend can be supplied in many variants to match the specific requirements of the abatement system. Our expertise, plus the versatility of the process, also future-proofs the system from any changes in legislation
Following the capture process, the cleansed gases are forced through a filter membrane from where the reagent waste along with the collected pollutants are discharged into sealed collection bags or hoppers in readiness for safe disposal.
